2011 – CONFERENCE: SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

In the context of our 10 year anniversary at CSR HELLAS, in February 2011 we organized a conference in Athens with the title “Social Entrepreneurship 2011: Responsibility-Cooperation-Prospects”, with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Our aim as CSR HELLAS by hosting the conference was to promote the need for cooperation between the private and public sector, as a prerequisite for confronting the challenges that arise from economic developments and for the advancement of prospects for the future.

During the speeches, the need for the incorporation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) firstly into the strategy and everyday operations of businesses and organizations and secondly into the national strategy for economic development was emphasized. Additionally, the recognition of CSR as a determining factor for the transitional period of the economic crisis that the country was experiencing at the time, as well as for the future and particularly for the achievement of the European goals that had already been set at that point for 2020, was deemed crucial.

More than 150 individuals took part in the conference, of which the majority were corporate executives, representatives of SMEs, owners and executives of SMEs, academics, public administration and public organization executives and students.
