The Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability school (CSR School) is an innovative educational initiative of CSR HELLAS, which will be repeated on an annual basis and presents the first comprehensive educational program on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in Greece.
It took place for the first time from the 23rd until the 27th of September 2019, as a 5 day long program of live learning, in the context of a collaboration between CSR HELLAS, the University of Crete and the American College of Greece, being the first cooperation between the public and private sector on an educational level on the topic of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. In the first year of its implementation the Golden Sponsor was the company TITAN Cement Group, while Bronze Sponsors were ALPHA BANK, HELLENIC PETROLEUM AND MITILINEOS.
The first part of the day includes lectures by prestigious university professors from Greece and abroad, while in the second part, experienced business executives share their experience from implementing strategies, approaches and actions of responsible entrepreneurship and sustainable development with the participants. At the same time, the trainees have the chance to examine case studies and to interact amongst themselves.
The program has been designed and is conducted exclusively in English, while trainees receive a certificate of successful completion as long as they participate in work groups which, under professor supervision, must suggest alternative approaches and solution to real issues, which are posed during the training by examined businesses and relate to the management of sustainability.
The program is addressed to business executives from all sectors such as CSR, Human Resources, Environmental Management, Strategic Development, Investor Relationships, Marketing and Communication, Supplies, Health and Safety, Public Relations who have the responsibility to manage issues that affect the development and operations of a business, in the framework of enhancing their sustainability. It is also addressed to entrepreneurs, as well as masters or PhD students, who want to increase their knowledge on subjects that relate to corporate responsibility and sustainability.
