“Partnership and Action for Sustainable Enterprises”
Sustainable development is not an easy business model approach. Businesses today are required to operate in an increasingly complex business environment. In a climate of intense socio-economic and geopolitical challenges, businesses recognize the importance of understanding and assessing not only their financial performance, but also the wider social and environmental impacts on their ability to create value for all.
The approach of the P4SI-EL is based on the transfer of know-how and experience to businesses, as well as good implementation practices from pioneering companies, which have the experience and expertise to create high added value in the training of both their own executives and the businesses in their supply chain or distribution networks (customers) with which they cooperate. Through the use of appropriate tools, models and practices, participating companies will be able to more effectively develop their own way of adapting and transitioning to a new economic model aligned with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and in particular the EU’s targets for full decarbonisation, maximum use of digital technology and inclusiveness, in line with the European Green Deal.
Smaller enterprises, as well as enterprises that are now starting to adapt to the new business sustainability framework, learn faster and easier through success stories as well as from the experience and mistakes or failures of larger and more mature enterprises. Through participation in the P4SI-EL, pioneering businesses on sustainability issues are invited to (a) partner up with other pioneering businesses to further improve their approaches, policies, systems and processes on commonly recognised material issues, (b) collaborate with other businesses in the same industry, (c) enhance the level of maturity of smaller businesses in their supply chains or distribution networks (customers) on corporate sustainability issues.
P4SI-EL’s aim is to create a pool of knowledge and experiences of their pioneering businesses through the use of quality tools and weighted methodologies in order to accelerate the process of dissemination of know-how and good practices between sectors and businesses.
P4SI-EL is open to all Greek businesses regardless of size and sector and seeks to:
- capture the maturity level of the participating companies, providing them with guidance for improving their performance in sustainability management,
- highlight the good practices of pioneering CSR HELLAS member companies in integrating sustainability into their business model,
- improve the maturity level of business organisations and industry associations in supporting their members on sustainability issues,
- support member companies of business organisations & sectoral associations in enhancing their level of maturity,
- enhance the readiness of supply chains (SMEs) and distribution networks (customers) to adopt sustainability practices in their strategy and operations; and
- contribute to the policy initiatives of institutions at national and European level for a sustainable business environment.
