Corporate Social Responsibility
For Anoixti Agkalia (Open Arms Hug) – Friends of Social Pediatrics & Medicine, social responsibility lies at the heart of its mission and everyday activities. With children and families at the center of its work and a strong emphasis on prevention, the Organization develops a comprehensive framework of initiatives that contributes significantly to reducing inequalities in access to healthcare, psychosocial support, and social care.
The “Supporting Life” Preventive Medicine Campaigns represent a key pillar of this social impact, providing free medical examinations, vaccinations, health education, and primary healthcare services in both mainland and island border regions of Greece, in cooperation with the Hellenic Navy General Staff and the Health Directorate of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff.
At the same time, the “Anoixti Agkalia FSPM” Day Center provides free specialized services to children with pervasive developmental and emotional disorders, as well as support for their families, promoting early intervention, psychological empowerment, and social inclusion.
The Organization’s social contribution is further strengthened through psychological support programs, childhood obesity prevention initiatives, healthy lifestyle promotion actions, and support programs for vulnerable social groups through the provision of food, medicines, and essential supplies. In this way, Anoixti Agkalia FSPM responds to critical social needs, providing holistic and consistent support to children, families, and individuals living under vulnerable conditions.
In addition, through infrastructure projects and donations of medical and hospitality equipment to pediatric and hospital facilities, Anoixti Agkalia FSPM contributes to improving care conditions for hospitalized children. These interventions enhance the quality of services provided and create a more humane and supportive environment for children, their families, and healthcare professionals.
These key pillars of action clearly demonstrate Anoixti Agkalia FSPM’s long-standing commitment to social responsibility, prevention, and care. Through a broad and targeted framework of interventions, the Organization creates meaningful social impact, strengthens equal access to healthcare and support services, and contributes to improving the quality of life of children, families, and vulnerable social groups across Greece.
