In June 2008 we organized, in cooperation with the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece, the first conference ever on CSR in the region and specifically in Thessaloniki, with the title “Social Entrepreneurship ’08 – Values and Practices of Responsible Entrepreneurship”.
Our aim through the Conference was the mobilization and motivation of as many businesses as possible and particularly those that operated in Northern Greece, to undertake initiatives and to go beyond their minimum legal requirements for the purpose of becoming more active in favor of society and sustainable development. Over 150 individuals attended the conference, whom had the chance to listen to speeches regarding governmental and corporate parameters.
Alongside the conference, we designed a publicly accessible exhibition of best CSR practices that our corporate members were implementing at the time, in Aristotelous square – which was conceded specially by the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
